As we celebrate Mexican Independence in Chicago, I would like to share my memorable experience at the majestic Sheraton Mexico City Isabel Hotel. Named in honor of Queen Isabel II of Spain, the hotel underwent a name change to Maria Isabel-Sheraton Hotel in 1969 after being sold to Sheraton. This remarkable hotel, crafted by distinguished Mexican architect Manuel De Santiago-de Borbón González Bravo, embodies Spanish-Mexican architecture. We are grateful for the presence of this beautiful architecture in Chicago's Michigan Avenue, thanks to Sheraton Hotels.
